SOLO was founded in 1945 by MM. Käsermann & Sperisen.
SOLO is still a family owned company managed by the third generation. Some important dates :

1945 – Founding in Bienne (Biel)
1955 – Development of a range of heat treatment furnaces
1960 – Export to Europe, Russia, Japan
1970 – Construction of a factory of 10'000 m2 in Porrentruy (Switzerland)
1980 – Development of fully automated heat treatment installations
1993 – Buyout of Borel SA, manufacturer of furnaces in Switzerland
2001 – Reorganization and closure of the factory in Bienne
2005 – ISO 9001 certification
2006 – Creation of SOLO China
2010 – Creation of SOLO North America

Borel Furnaces was founded in 1927 by Charles Borel.

1927 - Founding in Neuchatel Switzerland
1948 - New catalogue of standard furnaces & household appliances
1993 - Buyout of Borel SA by SOLO Swiss
2003 - New standard product range : furnaces & Ovens
